Working in rescue
CPD course

A study of more than 500 UK dog rehoming centres has revealed a number of worrying trends. Reduced funding, fewer donations, and fewer volunteers, combined with a sharp increase in dogs being abandoned means that one in every four rescue centres faces having to turn dogs away, due to a lack of space.

Research also shows that demand for rescue dogs has declined in the past year while the number of dogs being abandoned was higher in 2022 than in previous years. Due to many worrying factors, such as the effects of the pandemic, rising energy bills and ever-increasing economic uncertainty, dog rescue in the UK is sadly in a state of crisis never seen before. The factors involved have created the ‘Perfect Storm’.

With this in mind, we have developed a CPD course to help those working in rescues and are offering it at a greatly reduced price.
